Memorial Drive Resurfacing
The City of Houston notified the Energy Corridor District that they have begun a maintenance project to resurface Memorial Dr. between SH 6 and Eldridge Pkwy. While it will be nice when the project is completed, it’s going to create traffic congestion during construction. The City has put out traffic control measures and construction is in full swing. The work did begin at SH 6 and will progress eastbound toward Eldridge. The estimated construction duration is 60 days. The preliminary schedule provided by the City of Houston is as follows:
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
Weeks of 1/12 - 2/2 Mobilization; Mill and Level Up - Lanes 1-5
Weeks of 2/9 - 3/2 Install Glass Grid and Overlay - Lanes 1-5
Week of 3/9 Clean Up; Restoration; Striping
Week of 3/16 Demobilization
