Sanitary Sewer Line On Hiatus, Annual & Board Meetings

Sanitary Sewer Line Replacement Hiatus Annual Meeting Board Meeting

Memorial Thicket Project on Hiatus Until February 2022

The mobilization Houston Public Works had hoped would occur mid-November has been postponed. Public Works Assistant Director Jack Canfield (who was at the October 19th briefing with Councilmember Greg Travis and his Chief of Staff Katie Shelton) received word from the contractors that due to the supply chain shortage that are occurring: (1) the contractors are having a hard time getting the supplies they need for the projects and (2) crew members are leaving job sites to find other work. Because of these circumstances, the contractor has informed Houston Public Works that they will not be able to begin work in Memorial Thicket until February 2022. Mr. Canfield is going to continue to work with the contractor in hopes they can begin earlier but no promises other than Mr. Canfield will continue to push for an earlier date. Thanks to Katie Shelton for this update.

Coming to Your Street!

This project will impact every street in our neighborhood. Most of the manholes are located in our front yards. For a few, the locations are in our backyards. We do now have the proposed order of streets the crew will be working on. You can click on the first button below to see where the sanitary sewer lines run in our neighborhood (the white circles represent manholes and list their numbers). The second button has the order in which each of the manholes will be worked on.
