MTHA - Speeding throughout Memorial Thicket
I am writing to bring to your attention the concerns of myself and other residents regarding the speed limits in our neighborhood. As you may be aware, the posted speed limit is 30 mph; however, the suggested speed limit is 20 mph, as indicated by the yellow sign at the entrance of the neighborhood. Our concern is rooted in the safety of all community members, including children, bicyclists, pedestrians, and runners. With the approach of summer and longer daylight hours, more residents are taking advantage of the amenities in our beautiful neighborhood. It is, therefore, imperative that we all take responsibility for ensuring the safety of ourselves and others. I implore you to be particularly vigilant while driving in the neighborhood and to set a positive example for others to follow. We must prioritize public safety and remain mindful of the presence of all individuals in the area. Let us work together to create a safe environment for everyone. I would like you to join me in this effort to protect our community by following the suggested speed limit and staying alert behind the wheel.
