Storm Water Project Completed Buffalo Bayou Trail Reopened
The Short Story Late Wednesday the construction crew moved the fence so that the path that has been blocked for months behind Marywood is once again open. They will still need to bring back some green to the area that remains fenced. Unlike last year, you can legally enjoy Terry Hershey Park this Easter weekend.
The Longer Story
The manhole and new storm sewer outlet have been completed.
The temporary cutoffs to the Memorial Thicket water line have been removed with a permanent line now in place.
Fifteen concrete truck loads were used to seal the old storm sewer line.
The big dirt pile has been removed and the area where the old storm sewer line had eroded into a canyon has been filled in.
Yesterday, the last piece of construction equipment was removed.
