National Night Out
Thank you to all that attended Memorial Thicket's℠ 2025 National Night Out! It was a great success and I have been told one of the largest attendances in the City of Houston. WOW! It reflects the interest and commitment of our residents in keeping Memorial Thicket℠ safe.
A special treat this year was having HPD's Mounted Patrol join us and, of course, our DPS Troopers secured for us by none other than our Retired DPS Trooper and Memorial Thicket℠ Guard, Richard Alvarado. The Precinct 5 Constables also played an important role. We had 7 members of the Law Enforcement Community on hand...and 9 members if you count Integrity and Big Boy, our equine friends!
A big thank you to our guest speaker, City of Houston At-Large Position 2 Council Member Willie Davis, for his dynamic presentation.

Three take aways from the event in talking to our Law Enforcement Representatives:
1. Memorial Thicket℠ is very fortunate to have 24/7 Guards.
2. Armed Guards are a real deterrent to crime.
3. Having Security Guards that are geared to Residential Homes and not Apartments is critical and there is a difference.
Thank you for being part of our great community. Together with our Guards, it is you the residents that keep Memorial Thicket℠ strong and safe.
