Trash Schedule Update & Guidelines
Greetings Neighbors (Once Again)!
Texas Pride did pick up our trash today, but only waste in trash cans. We talked again this morning with Texas Pride about the bundled branches and yard waste in plastic bags not being picked up. That waste is being deferred until next Tuesday currently. Texas Pride's website states, "There will be no storm debris or recycle service this week with a focus on putrescible waste. Larger volumes of storm debris are the responsibility of the County or City.
"As noted on page 21 of MTHA's 2024 Information Guide, "Trimmed, small tree branches should be cut into four-foot lengths and, if not placed in trash cans, tied into small bundles and also placed at the curb." Texas Pride is not required to pick up large limbs and untied small tree branches.
Once again, to try to keep up with all the trash, recycling is paused this week, so next Tuesday will be our next recycling date.
If you have large limbs and tree trunks from Beryl, you can contact 311 for the City to pick that up. Not sure, however, the timing.
As always, should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call.
